Smart Tips for Writing Effective Thank You Letters

Writing business thank you letters is a great way to build professional relationships.
  • For maximum impact, write the letter as soon as possible.

  • Keep it short and within a page.

  • Don’t include a lot of unnecessary information.

  • A letter to say thanks works best when addressed to one individual. If you need to thank more than one person, write individual letters addressed to each of them.

  • Say thank you, but don’t sound fake. The letter must look sincere.

  • Proofread, Proofread, Proofread. You definitely don’t want to send out a letter full of typos and grammatical mistakes.

You can send letter to thank someone for:

  • Providing good service

  • Giving help

  • Offering a Job opportunity

  • Write a thank you letter after an interview.
It’s a great way to subtly reinforce your qualifications, and to let the interviewer know why you are the perfect candidate for the job.

However, the key here is to be SUBTLE, not pushy.
